25th of March | European Parliament, Brussels
Tuesday 25th | 09:00 – 12:30h | SPINELLI 1G2
Interpretation:
This event is being organised in the context of an increasing EU focus on competitiveness, big business and industrial growth, where the Just Transition is barely considered. The goals of the event are to counter this trend, by having a space to discuss how the EU needs not to abandon the Just Transition, but actually take it further. We want to highlight perspectives of certain social groups (disadvantaged areas, Travellers, people with disabilities, carers) and their needs in the transition, and to expand our visions of a just transition in agriculture and industry to include all stakeholders, for example rural communities, those impacted by chemical pollution, and even animal welfare.
