As the European Commission struggles to respond to the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, The Left group will host an urgent press conference this Wednesday at 13:30 in the European Parliament. The Left will propose a more ambitious EU response that addresses the core issues behind the United States’ most recent rightward turn: deregulation, concentration of wealth and tech oligarchy.

A more progressive Left vision prioritises concrete proposals to tax high net worth individuals, targeted tariffs, and protection of workers on both sides of the Atlantic.
