The GUE/NGL Group is organising its Study Days in Carrickmacross, Monaghan County, Ireland, from Monday September 28 to Thursday October 1 at the Nuremore Hotel & Country Club.

On Tuesday September 29, MEPs and their invited guests will discuss alternatives to austerity policies and responses to the unemployment crisis; and the impact of, and campaign against, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) agreement.

The following day, discussions will cover reforming the euro and the possible exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The Study Days provide an opportunity for MEPs, national politicians, experts, trade unions, NGOs and activists to engage on relevant topics.

The meeting is open to the press on Tuesday September 29 and Wednesday September 30.
