09.15 – 10.45: Have we learned the lessons of the crash?
The aimof this session is to give an overview of what happened in the US and EU and what lessons if any can be learned and to shed light on the latest deregulatory trends in the US and in the EU (repeal of Dodd Frank, STS, CRR/CRD, investment firms package)

This session will focus on current global economic trends (debt, trade, monetary policy etc) and on key factors that make a next financial crisis very likely. Furthermore we will discuss possible alternatives to current mainstream policy.
