GUE/NGL would like to express its profound sadness at the attack which took place in London on Saturday night. We condemn in the strongest possible terms at the perpetrators who have once again targeted innocent civilians and our thoughts are very much with our friends in Britain today.

This is the third major terror incident to have hit the UK in the last three months. We must never allow terrorists to come between us – wherever they happen. Such atrocities merely reinforce our values of democracy, solidarity and peace.
