“We are very saddened to hear of the attacks at Istanbul Atatürk Airport late last night.”

“We condemn in the strongest possible terms this appalling act of mass murder upon civilians and police forces by terrorists. During this difficult time, we offer our deepest sympathies to the friends and families of the victims.

“It is just over three months since the twin-attacks at Brussels airport and on the metro system in the Belgian capital. We reaffirm our belief that there can be never be any justification to commit such brutal, inhuman acts of violence on others. 

“Our thoughts are very much with Istanbul and the people of Turkey today.”
